A
rare albino baby wombat called
Casper has enchanted Wildlife
Victoria carers charged with raising
him since his mother was hit and
killed by a car.
The
little creature with long,
translucent nails, white whiskers
but brown eyes has thrived in human
foster care.
Weighing a tiny 118g when rescued,
Casper has plumped up to 150g and is
on track to eventually reach an
ideal weight of more than 55kg.
Carer
Linda, from the Warrandyte Wildlife
Victoria shelter, said Casper is
taking 12.5ml of milk six times a
day.
He is
only the third albino reportedly
found in Victoria, with all three
hailing from Wilsons Promontory.
